Ghum Monastery / Ghoom Monastery

The Ghum Monastery is the largest Ghum that holds the statue of the Maitreya Buddha who is believed to be ‘The Buddha to come’. It was built in the year 1875 by a lama called Sherab Gyatso just 8 km away from the city.
