McLeod Ganj is at the foothills of the spectacular Dhaulndhar range which is a part of Great Himalayan mountains. It is completely a holy city due to the presence of the Dalai Lama. Even the town is small, but it’s charming and picturesque. A good thing about McLeod Ganj is that it is still not completely destructed by the modernization.

It still has the old colonial architecture and the streets are lined up with ancient style buildings. Travelers can also visit Namgyal monastery. It’s a great place to get the inner peace of life. This city doesn’t have a great nightlife, but it is one of the relaxing places to chill at night.
