Many Sunni Muslims celebrate this event on the 12th of the Islamic month of Rabi ‘al-awwal, while the Shia’s community celebrate it on the 17th century of Rabi ‘al-awwal.
During the time of festival, Muslims clean their houses and streets. They even clean the mosques in their cities. Processions are also taken out by people who shout praises about Prophet Muhammad. On the festival day, men prefer wearing Jubbhas while women prefer wearing Abayas. This shows complete devotion to the thoughts and beliefs in Prophet Muhammad.
