A holy bath during the festival is said to be the attainment of Salvation and liberation of the vicious cycle of rebirth. All the sins of the devotees are purified by the holy waters. The opening of this major festive fair Kumbh Mela is marked by Peshvai or Praveshai, where people are welcomed from all over the world, making the beginning of the auspicious Mela. Ardh Kumbh Mela 2019 is going to be celebrated when the Jupiter is in Taurus and the Sun is in Capricorn. The celestial setting will next be seen from the 15th January to 4th March in the holy city of Allahabad.
