This area is not yet well known by foreign tourists so it is not crowded. The people working for the boat tours did not speak English, and locals had to translate for me. This was not a problem, the backwaters do not require many explanations to be enjoyed. It is now mainly inhabited by the fishing community. An estuary located adjacent to the island is a natural wonder, which is so quiet that the only sound you can hear is of the birds chirping and waves roaring.
