Alapuzha, popularly famous as Allepey and Ernakulam are the cities which are seriously affected by this calamity. The subsequent flooding has left hundreds of houses damages and coconut palms uprooted. Thousands of families has been forced to take shelter in the relief camps across the state. The flood situation in Kerala continues to be grim as death records reach close to 200.
