How to Travel Light in Winters
In our previous article, we gave you tips on how to travel light. Those rules work fine in all the other seasons except winter. As winter sets in, you need to carry all those additional sweaters, pullovers, scarves, shoes, and travel blankets making it difficult to travel light in winters. But with little planning you can travel light in winters too!
Here is how:
Check Weather Forecast Before Packing that Heavy Overcoat
Check weather and temperature report of the place you are going to visit. This will help you choose only the ‘must have’ instead of ‘just in case’ needed clothes
Replace one Massive Winter Wear with Multiple Clothing items
It will be lighter and can be used in multiple combinations of mix and match. Easier to wash and re-use too!
Keep a Pair of Insulated Footwear
Keeping your foot warm in winter is very important. A pair of insulated footwear, boots may be along with a pair of woolen socks will go well with all your dresses and keep you warm too
Accessorizing in Winters
If you have carried one overcoat, you can still change your looks by changing your accessories, such as hats, scarves and gloves. Any day it is easier to carry multiple hats and scarves than coat
Wear your Bulkiest Stuff instead of Packing Them
If you are travelling by plane or train, wear your bulkiest overcoat and boots instead of packing them up.
This will prevent packing space and you can still travel light in winter
